A small boat, a wild river, a family's promise
Chambal Boat Safari is a small, owner-run river safari on the Chambal gorge near Kota, Rajasthan. We take a limited number of guests each day through one of India's last clean rivers — past basking crocodiles and gharials, otters on the banks, and cliffs alive with more than 300 species of birds.
Every departure is unhurried and personal. Our boatmen were born on these waters — they read the river the way others read a map, and they know exactly where the gharials haul out at first light.

We are the team behind Jawai Safari, one of Rajasthan's trusted names for leopard safaris. Jawai taught us something simple: guests remember trips that are run personally, kept safe, and rooted in real local knowledge — not packaged in bulk. Chambal Boat Safari is us bringing that same philosophy to the Chambal gorge near Kota.
Operated by CAT Hospitality LLP, every safari is coordinated directly with you — we confirm your boarding point, group size and the day's water conditions over WhatsApp, so nothing is left to a faceless booking desk. Our boats are handled by experienced local boatmen, life jackets are worn by everyone, and groups are kept small so the water stays calm and the wildlife stays close.
